The rescue alarm goes off. FUNG returns to his post at once and joins his team in rescuing an injured person, who suffers bone fractures and been saved by some fishermen. KO YU CHEONG, FUNG’s father, has a second marriage. FUNG gets along very well with his stepmother and half sister, KO HO OI. When a couple is hiking on TUNG LUNG Island, the wife loses her step and falls off a cliff. Her husband suffers the same fate when he is trying to rescue her. The 16 trainees who have applied for Aircrewman Officers III are divided into 2 groups for discussion. FUNG has a good impression on SZE CHOR KEI Sandra, the only female trainee and who has bright ideas during the discussion. Although the success rate of LAM’s operation is only 50 percent, FUNG is confident that she will recover. A teenager has gone missing after falling into the sea on TAI HANG Island. FUNG eventually locates him in the vast open sea, but he cannot survive the mishap. Despite this, his family members come to thank FUNG at GFS. When LAM is undergoing the operation, FUNG repairs the antique car that she loves most so that he can take her home in the car when she is discharged. EVA suggests going to WAN’s place to visit PAK after their date. Seeing that KUEN, a colleague and a neighbor of WAN’s, gets along well with PAK and that she is at WAN’s home at this time of day, EVA ridicules KUEN when WAN is not around. LAM wakes up after the operation. FUNG hurries to hospital, only to find that LAM cannot recognize him.

NOK cannot answer WAN’s questions on aviation. WAN therefore decides to cancel the flight training. NOK has a great sense of loss. He tells KUEN about his unhappiness. PAK is attending a birthday party of his classmate. EVA dresses him up as a little bee. As a result, PAK gets jeered at by his classmates for his looks. PAK cannot stop crying. EVA yells at him, asking him to keep quiet. MAN knows then that EVA will not make a good mother. He lies to her that KUEN is his girlfriend so as to get rid of her. WAN is flying a group of VIPs over the sky of Hong Kong when the Control Center calls and requests him of an urgent operation. WAN has to go back down, which annoys his guests, who claim that they will make a complaint. WAN explains to them the code of practice and calm them down. NOK appreciates what WAN has done as he witnesses the whole incident. OI takes LAM home, hoping to recall her memory. LAM drives away when OI is not around……

LAM gets lost. Panic, she makes a random phone call. FUNG, who is looking for her, is thrilled to receive her call. He thinks that she has regained her memory at last. To his disappointment, LAM says in tears that she doesn’t remember being with FUNG in the past, and that she can feel the pressure every time she sees him. Helplessly and unwittingly, FUNG splits up with her. FUNG is very upset. Without himself realizing it, he tests KEI with his problems with LAM. KEI thinks that FUNG makes things difficult for her intentionally. CHEUNG MAN YUI, WAN’s ex-wife, returns to Hong Kong for business. She is assigned to go to the GFS to gather materials for a feature article. WAN makes an appointment for YUI and PAK. PAK is disappointed to know that she cannot make it because of work. KEI and TSIK CHI KAN DEREK have become members of the GFS……

A fire breaks out in Tai Mo Mountain; 16 hikers are trapped there. The GFS are on the move to save lives again. Regardless of the risk, FUNG goes to save the hikers upwind. The 16 hikers have all been rescued. LAM learns from the news report that there is an officer injured in the rescue. She rushes to the hospital, worrying that that injured officer is FUNG. The police suspect that there is still an illegal immigrant on the mountain. FUNG and his mates have to scour the spot during the night. In the complete darkness on the mountain, FUNG finds the illegal immigrant, who has turned on his torch. Because of the incident, FUNG has learnt how to deal with his problem with LAM. FUNG goes to hospital again. LAM no longer resists him and is willing to make friends with him. YUI attends PAK’s baseball training. KUEN, who is also there to cheer PAK up, puts on a long face when she sees YUI and WAN being so intimately with each other……

KEI and KAN follow FUNG and KEUNG on a rescue. FUNG and KEUNG use a rather relaxed way to demonstrate the rescue process. KEI is unhappy with FUNG’s unserious ways of teaching. KEI and a good friend of hers, LUI PIK SHAN WING, are shopping when they see NOK at an opening ceremony of a sportswear chain shop of his parents. They know then that NOK comes from a rich family. KEI grasps the chance to ask him for some coupons, which she plans to buy some shoes for the children of an orphanage. NOK is touched. Stealthily he takes some photos of KEI and the orphans. YUI has returned to France for work. WAN receives a speedy post from YUI, stating that she would like to start over with WAN. WAN is overjoyed and looking forward to YUI’s coming to Hong Kong. As for FUNG, he is trying hard to go after LAM. LAM wishes that she could work at the A&E Department again……

YUI returns to Hong Kong for business; both WAN and PAK are very happy. KUEN, on the contrary, jeers at YUI as soon as she sees her. NOK and KUEN chat with each other very often. WAN is therefore very puzzled when he sees NOK gives the lunch that KUEN has prepared for him to other colleagues. NOK’s mother, LI, reads from the paper that a GFS staff was injured during an operation. She worries a lot about NOK’s safety and forces him to resign. She hopes that NOK can help out in the family business. WAN and his family, and FUNG and LAM go for a picnic, during which they see a boy has a heart attack. LAM goes up, reveals her identity as a doctor, and follows the GFS in sending the boy to hospital. On the way there, the boy’s heart stops! LAM tries her best to save him. After the incident, LAM is allowed to go back and work at the A&E Department……

FUNG rushes to hospital as soon as he learns of LAM’s accident. He is overjoyed to learn from the doctor that LAM has regained her memories. Now that she remembers everything, the problem that she and FUNG were facing before she went to a coma comes up to her. She is very upset, and plans to split with FUNG. LAM avoids meeting with FUNG after she has been discharged. She does not tell him that she will join the GFS as a voluntary doctor, either. LI begs NOK to quit his job in tears. NOK cannot concentrate at work because of his mother. After knowing that why NOK’s performance is affected, WAN makes an appointment with LI and explains to her about their jobs. WAN is a bit disappointed to see that YUI has not indeed completely cut off from her French boyfriend. FUNG takes KEI to a picnic. FUNG has gone disappeared, leaving KEI in the middle of nowhere in the wilderness……

Both PAK and WAN are disappointed that YUI is unable to attend PAK’s baseball competition. LAM tells WAN his problem with FUNG. As he responds, he expresses his discontent with YUI. After a careful consideration, YUI decides to be friends with WAN only; WAN accepts the suggestion. WAN advises NOK to be nice to KUEN. Fearing that WAN will get him wrong again, NOK tells WAN that he is the one whom KUEN really likes. WAN is dubious about it though. After talking to WAN, LAM has decided to start over again with FUNG. LAM goes with WAN on a rescue mission. She is surprised to see that her younger brother, HONG YAU WAH, is a technician at GFS. KUEN goes to collect some trousers from the laundry for WAN. It is raining. KUEN is soaked through and through as she is trying to protect WAN’s trousers from getting wet. WAN, who sees this, feels uneasy as he does not know how to refuse her……

KAN keeps asking FUNG if he was the GFS officer who saved his life years ago but FUNG does not answer him. WAN was about to tell KUEN that he has only treated her as a younger sister all along and that they will never be lovers when a colleague of KUEN’s comes to see her. WAN has to find another time to tell her. WAN is not home yet. KUEN waits for him in PAK’s room. WAN is back. KUEN overhears the conversation between him and FUNG. She is devastated to know from their phone conversation that WAN has never loved her. KAN, OI and some other friends are using Tarot cards to find out about their future. NOK is eager to know about KEI’s romance. The others deduce that he is secretly in love with KEI and force him to tell them everything. After being declined by WAN, KUEN avoids being with him alone for fear that she will be embarrassed. Eventually, she takes the initiate to make a showdown over her relationship with WAN.

KAN has overcomes his airsickness and passes the test. LAM hopes to reconcile with WAH, but he tells her that she is not qualified to be his sister. KEI goes to a desert island for a mock. She is on her own after the helicopter has left. She is scared; her palms are sweating and her face turns pale. However, she has to collect her courage to finish the job. Thinking that her nervousness has to do with the fact that this is her first training, FUNG teaches her how to alleviate her stress. KAN and OI shock NOK by buying some flowers and wine and creating an opportunity for him to confess his love to KEI. The fact is, he does not dare to express his love for KEI even when he is with her. FUNG see through NOK’s mind. He tells KEI that NOK has had a crush on her but she does not believe. FUNG wants to patch up LAM and WAH and so asks them out for a meal together. LAM mentions their late mother during the meal……

KEI follows FUNG to a remote island for training. When KEI has to face the injured alone, the feeling that she is abandoned occurs to her again. She uses the method that FUNG taught her to try to alleviate the stress but it does not work. She is still afraid of being on her own. Unwittingly, she hands in her resignation to FUNG. FUNG calls KEI again and again to see what has happened but she refuses to answer the calls. FUNG worries a lot. Seeing this, LAM fears that FUNG will neglect her again because of work, just as he did in the past. A boy blacks out when he is hiking on an island with his father. He regains his consciousness after LAM has had a look at him. WAN is taking them to hospital when he receives an order from the Control Center to rescue another casualty who is near where they are. WAN asks LAM about the boy’s situation and decides to rescue the other casualty first before they head to hospital……

Both WAN and LAM think that they have done nothing wrong in rescuing the boy. They, nevertheless, are unhappy about the passing away of the boy. The two go to a cafe for a chilling out respectively. After listening to WAN and LAM’s explanation, the management of GFS decides not to punish them. The media accuse LAM and WAN for acting in defiance of human lives. Many citizens file complaints to phone-in radio programmes, demanding someone to be responsible for this. KEI cares a lot about the incident. She cancels her leave and returns to the GFS to see if she can do anything. FUNG sees this in his eyes. WAN cheers PAK up in a baseball competition. LAM gives PAK a bat, which YUI has bought him. PAK is very excited and performs extremely well. WAN is inspired by this and decides to make an explanation of why they have to build an airfield at the District Board Committee……

KEI changes her mind and stays at the GFS. FUNG is watching movie with LAM. He is not really enjoying it, however, but thinking of how to help KEI overcome he psychological barrier. LAM recommends a psychiatrist to KEI. KEI does not open up in the therapy and avoids talking about her unhappy childhood. LAM discovers that KEI trusts FUNG very much. Her intuition tells her that KEI loves him. WAH has discovered that there is some mechanical problem with one of the helicopters. He reports his finding to his colleagues and his superior, CHIU HOK JIM JIMMY but they pay no attention to him. There is something wrong when WAN is flying the helicopter with problems. JIMMY thinks very highly of WAH’s ability. KEI goes to an isolated island for training again. There are patches of thick go fog on the island. Her walkie-talkie is out of order. She has lost her contact with FUNG and she panics……

There is a power cut in NOK’s place. KEI, with the help of a torch, draws a new map for FUNG. NOK cannot help but feeling sour. LAM wants to tell FUNG that there is something wrong with their relationship. FUNG, who is tired, falls into sleep nevertheless. FUNG suggests JIMMY sending WAH to the U.K. for training. LUK KIN CHUNG, who is also a technician, is scolded by JIMMY. CHUNG is unhappy to see that WAH is junior than him in terms of experience yet he can go to the U.K. for training. He further says that the reason why WAH can go to the U.K. is because he has sought special favor from their senior. Unable to stand the gossips, WAH hands in his resignation to JIMMY. He also scolds LAM and FUNG for being nosy. LAM is furious, and frankly tells FUNG that they have a communication problem. FUNG does not have a clue as to what she means. Thinking that her relationship with FUNG has come to a dead end, she proposes a separation.

FUNG explains to LAM, hoping that she would give him a second chance. LAM requests him to accomplish her unfulfilled wish that he promised on the day they first met. FUNG rushes to buy LAM a cheese cake. LAM is disappointed, saying that FUNG still does not know her taste even now. She splits with FUNG. FUNG is rather upset. KEI stays by his side. KUEN has bought two tickets for NOK so that he can go with KEI and take the chance to confess his love. The tickets, however, are for wheelchair users. NOK wants to exchange the tickets but he is discovered by KEI. KEI invites him to a dinner, during which she implies to him that they can never be lovers. NOK’s heart breaks. Someone has sent KEI a gift. KEI thinks that it is from NOK, but NOK denies it. SZE PO CHUEN, the new driver of CHEONG, constantly asks about KEI. FUNG finds this odd. It turns out later that CHUEN is the one who sent KEI the gift.

CHUEN cannot stand any more questioning from FUNG and discloses that he is KEI’s father, who abandoned KEI years ago. In order to get close to KEI, CHUEN finds an excuse and moves into FUNG’s house. YUI announces her getting married with her French boyfriend. WAN does not know how to explain this to PAK, making PAK feeling unhappy. LAM tells PAK a story; PAK is happy again. WAN deduces that LAM’s has experienced herself the same thing as PAK. Though separated, FUNG and LAM make good partners at work. KEI is jealous. WAN lets NOK control the helicopter alone. Thick fog suddenly appears in front of the helicopter. NOK manages to remain calm and accomplishes his task. WAN commends his performance. LAM visits her mother’s grave. She is unhappy to see WAH is also there. Seeing this, WAN advises her not to misunderstand or have prejudice against WAH……

It turns out that LAI and LI, NOK’s parents, published false accounts to shorten the time it took for their company to be listed. They are charged by the police. They have to go bankruptcy too. NOK quits his job because of what happened to his parents. WAN lies to him that if he quits, he will have to pay one million dollars as a compensation to the GFS for terminating the contract. NOK’s house has been put on a mortgage by LAI. Though reluctant, NOK has to ask KEI and the others to move out. KUEN comes up with an idea to alleviate NOK’s financial problem temporarily. On behalf of CHUEN, FUNG gives a present to KEI, who mistakes that FUNG has had a crush on her. FUNG brings along CHUEN. KEI is very angry. She slaps CHUEN on the face and drives him away. FUNG blames himself for doing something bad with a good intention. KEI tells him that she loves him. PAK gives YUI a gift……

WAN looks everywhere for PAK, but it is all to no avail. Just when he is at a loss as to what to do, the watchman of his building brings back PAK. Seeing how much WAN cares about his son, LAM cannot help but falling for him. NOK has been asked by the bank to pay them what he owes. NOK loses his temper very easily since. He is absent-minded when he is at the event which teaches the public the importance preventing hill fires. WAN is displeased and gives him a telling-off. LAM substitutes for her colleague and follow WAN to a rescue. Because of the foggy weather, they cannot return to GFS and have to stay in an airfield. LAM takes the opportunity to confess her love for WAN. The GFS officers are going out for a chill-out. KEI is happy to see that FUNG no longer avoids her. NOK, looking rather depressed, stands alone at a corner. KUEN goes to comfort him but is shocked that NOK asks her to lend him 3 million dollars to settle his debt……

NOK wants to take a leave to move house for his parents. He requests WAN to postpone his pilot test. WAN rejects his request. LI does not understand NOK’s predicament and reprimands him. SAN has forgotten about KEI’s birthday. She asks FUNG to send KEI a birthday card on her behalf. KEI stays at home alone on her birthday. Someone has sent her a chestnut cake. She thinks that it is from FUNG. At that moment, CHUEN appears, implying that the cake is from him. KEI flies into a rage and drives him out of the door. A patient has contracted a mutation virus. FUNG and other team members have to undergo a complete disinfection. LAM has carelessly touched the blood of the patient. She needs to be isolated for further check up. FUNG is keyed up when he knows this. He, together with his colleagues, visits LAM at the hospital. She is disappointed to see that WAN is not among them. WAN misses LAM very much……

FUNG sees KEI at a convenient store on her own. He buys a cake to celebrate her birthday with her. It is confirmed that LAM has not been infected. WAH visits her; the brother and sister are reconciled. KUEN takes NOK with her to her physiotherapy appointment. KUEN tells him how she lost both her legs. After hearing her story, NOK finally accepts what have happened to his family recently. He rushes to the GFS for the pilot test. KAN sneaks into FUNG’s room to check his flight records over the years. He is disappointed to know that the officer who saved him years ago was KEUNG. Though disappointed, he gives KEUNG the thank-you card that he drew after the accident. LAM needs to be admitted in hospital for further observation. FUNG buys an MP3 to her to kill time. FUNG encounters some difficulties when he is downloading music to the MP3. KEI takes the MP3 for a fix-up for FUNG, promising that she will give it to LAM when it is fixed……

FUNG tells KEI about the happy times he and Lam shared. KEI cannot hold it any more and tells FUNG the secret romance between WAN and LAM, and that they held back so as not to harm him. This comes as a blow to FUNG. He breaks down. He goes to tell LAM not to give WAN up. However, LAM replies that the fault is not on her side, making FUNG even guiltier. FUNG has been very emotional and he harms himself. Seeing how he behaves, KEI scolds him for hurting her indirectly. FUNG is dumbfounded. FUNG tells WAN that his love for LAM has risen to another level now and that they are no longer lovers. WAN seems to come to comprehend something. WAN decides to start over with LAM. He invites her to see a stage play at which PAK has a part to play. LAI is found guilty and sentenced to two years of imprisonment. NOK accepts the verdict. KEI gets into CHUEN’s taxi. She mistakes that he has stolen someone’s wallet.

FUNG confesses to KEI that he is not ready for another relationship yet. KEI is disappointed. CHUEN is buying illegal gasoline at a hillside when the illegal gasoline station explodes. His legs are injured. WAN happens to be flying past there on a mission. The tail of his helicopter has been hit by some small broken pieces from the blast. The tail of helicopter catches fire; the helicopter keeps spinning in the air. WAN tries hard to control the helicopter, and orders at the same time KAN and NOK to jump out of it. The helicopter plunges into the sea. Knowing that WAN has an accident, LAM is shocked. KAN and NOK have been saved. It is getting dark, but WAN is still nowhere to be found. FUNG follows the team to search for WAN. Their search has to stop because of thick fog. FUNG feels helpless. He and KEI sit at the airfield. He tells KEI how he came to know WAN. LAM goes to WAN’s house to take care of PAK……

At dawn, the clouds of fog have finally gone. The General Action Officer, Paul, leads the team to extend the searching area. When the gasoline of the helicopter nearly runs out, they finally find WAN, who is covered by a rubber raft. Fearing that WAN cannot stand any longer, FUNG asks KEI to untie his safety rope so that he can jump into the sea to save WAN. WAN’s heart stops as soon as he has been sent to hospital. FUNG is exhausted and falls ill. He sees KEI take good care of him when he is semi-conscious. KEI visits CHUEN at the hospital. The father and daughter have made it up with each other finally. NOK declares his love to KUEN. KUEN does not know what to do. Her colleagues discover that NOK have given something to KUEN, making her even more embarrassed. YUI loses her baby in a traffic accident. Knowing that his mother is unhappy, PAK tries to make her happy again……

WAN has found PAK at last. PAK suffers from a mental trauma as he has witnessed how WAN was rescued in the A&E department. Apart from having nightmares and wetting the bed, PAK also requests WAN not to go to work. WAN has no choice but to take no pay leave. He stays at home to take good care of PAK. Feeling trapped in her love relationship, KEI applies to go to Dalian, China for a staff exchange program. KEUNG approves her application. FUNG is a bit surprised to know about KEI’s decision and asks her to think twice. After the traffic accident, YUI is no longer able to have a baby. She requests WAN to let her live with PAK. WAN refuses her directly. YUI turns to legal action to fight for PAK’s custody. KEI sets off to Dalian. SAN and others see her off at the airport. FUNG has not come. He asks CHUEN to give KEI a watch on his behalf instead. KEI is disappointed.

By chance, NOK comes to know that it is KUEN’s wish to dance wearing dancing shoes. With the help of KAN and other colleagues, NOK makes her dream come true. KUEN is very touched. FUNG injures his old wound at the waist when he is rescuing someone who suffers from epilepsy. The doctor says that his vertebra has dislocated and that he needs to take medicine and go for physiotherapy. FUNG asks KEUNG to keep this a secret in order not to put additional burden on other members. FUNG e-mails KEI to tell her about what happens to him and to GFS very often. KEI does not reply him nevertheless. YUI and WAN talk about PAK’s custody. Both of them insist in their own standpoints. They have to settle the matter in court. WAN quits his job so that he can spend time with PAK and help him overcome his problem. PAK is thrilled to hear this.

FUNG goes out for a mission for his colleague and hurts his old wound again. The doctor tells him that the cartilage in his waist has been dislocated and that he needs good rest. FUNG teaches PAK how to skate, hoping to help him conquer his devil in mind. PAK is knocked over by someone. WAN blames FUNG for taking him to skate. A social worker comes to visit PAK. When he is talking to PAK, he notices some scars and bruises on PAK’s feet. He suspects that WAN is not careful enough in taking care of PAK. KEI returns to Hong Kong to report her work in Dalian. FUNG knows then that she has in fact never received any of his e-mails. Despite this, he continues emailing her. YUI tells WAN that she is not emigrating to France. She hopes that WAN will give up his fight for PAK’s custody. WAN turns her down without hesitation. FUNG’s waist aches so much that he cannot drive. The annual physical test is round the corner. FUNG is worried……

The law-court has granted PAK’s custody to YUI. FUNG has recovered. He has also passed the annual physical test. PAK is leaving for France with YUI soon. FUNG throws a party for him. PAK tells LAM that he does not want to go to France. FUNG asks KEI to play a game with him. This, however, irritates her and she loses her temper. She scolds him for lacking the courage to confess his love to her. KEI locks herself up in her room and cries out her heart. FUNG is helpless. He leaves behind some hints for her to solve the game puzzle. A 5th grade fire breaks out at a building. FUNG, NOK and their mates are summoned to return to the GFS. WAN listens to PAK and cancels his leave to join the rescue. FUNG takes the residents trapped on the roof-top one by one to a safe place. Unexpectedly, a blast breaks out on the roof-top; the current of the blast pushes WAN’s helicopter to a skyscraper nearby……
