Owner of Tak Kwong Pawn Shop, KO YEE-MAN, is delighted that his third daughter YU-PO is coming back from her studies aboard. He goes to a dried seafood shop to buy runny abalone for her but he is caught in a trouble. YUEN-HAN wants a divorce and she tries to pack up her belongings in the bedroom. YU-CHU tries to stop her and persuades her to stay. YU-CHU will be transferred to Regional Crime Unit soon. During the pre-screening interview of the singing contest, YEE-MAN and YU-CHU believe that YU-PO will not be selected. However, both YU-PO and YIP KWAI are selected unexpectedly. Actual contest sequence will be decided by drawing lots. YU-PO and YIP KWAI are assigned to be opponents unexpectedly. Both of them want to win so they decide to give their very best in it. YU-PO wants the whole family to attend the singing contest but she still needs two more tickets so she seeks help from LAM FAT. In order to maintain his reputation, LAM FAT promises to help but he encounters lots of obstacles... LAM FAT learns from the executive producer about the reason for choosing YU-PO and YIP KWAI. However, they find that YU-PO is going to gym with WAI-LEUNG cheerfully. While driving YIP KWAI to the TV station, LAM FAT’s car is broken down. LAM FAT meets a woman in the TV station who looks like LUI KEUNG very much so he talks to her. YIP KWAI learns from LAM FAT that LUI KEUNG has died and he is devastated. YIP KWAI’s old schoolmate invites him to start a singing career in Malaysia but YIP KWAI rejects him for he doesn’t want to leave the KO’s family and friends in Hong Kong. KWOK-MING gives a list of missing items to Tak Kwong Pawn Shop and YIP KWAI discovers that they have got a missing necklace. While discussing the case, YU-CHU carelessly reveals that she is the pawnshop owner’s daughter. KWOK-MING believes that YU-CHU is familiar with the operation of pawnshops so he invites her to investigate the case together. YU-CHU tells everybody how smart KWOK-MING is when catching the thieves and everybody regards KWOK-MING as an extraordinarily good man. KWOK-MING invites YU-CHU to dinner in a high-class restaurant and YU-CHU tells everybody cheerfully. YEE-MAN reveals that he has checked KWOK-MING’s background already…

LAM FAT dreams of YU-CHU writing calligraphy on the street just like a beggar and he wakes up with a start. On the next day, LAM FAT dresses up in suit to visit YU-CHU at her office. He reveals that he has just won Mark Six and he announces that he will pursue YU-CHU. Everybody is shocked and YIP KWAI suddenly appears in a nice suit as well… YU-PO accidentally discovers a promotional leaflet for renting a unit in the commercial building. She believes that WAI-TING and his wife are planning to move out for they will get a big business soon. She cannot help to spread the news to her colleagues and YEE-MAN… WAI-TING and his wife meet an old schoolmate PETER in a restaurant. PETER invites YUEN-HAN to become a shareholder of his company. After reviewing their assets, the couple figure out that they still needs 2 million dollars for the deal and YUEN-HAN asks WAI-TING to borrow money from YEE-MAN.… ...

Out of curiosity, YUEN-HAN opens YEE-MAN’s “treasure box” and she finds an old pawn ticket inside. YUEN-HAN believes that one of the three children is not YEE-MAN’s own children. YEE-MAN discovers that WAI-TING and his wife are trying to collect the DNA of the two sisters. He reveals everything to them and hopes that they will keep the secret. YU-CHU accidentally learns about YUEN-HAN’s speculation and she has mixed feelings on it. LAM FAT wants to find an orphanage for video shooting and YU-CHU voluntarily asks to help. LAM FAT and YU-CHU play with the orphan SIU-LAI. SIU-LAI gets a heart attack suddenly and they send her to the hospital. They discover that SIU-LAI’s father WING-HONG refuses to come to the hospital and they are very angry. They rush to WING-HONG’s dessert shop to question him…

He decides to give them to YEE-MAN because he has raised him up. However, his plan changes after learning that YUEN-HAN is pregnant… YU-CHU is very interested in a golden bracelet but when she returns to the accessories shop, she could not find the bracelet anymore. LAM FAT has bought the bracelet for he wants to declare his love to YU-CHU. YIP KWAI suddenly arrives and this ruins LAM FAT’s plan. When YU-CHU and YIP KWAI pick up the candies on the floor, they accidentally kiss each other. YIP KWAI suddenly develops feelings on YU-CHU…

YEE-MAN wants o help YIP KWAI and he eats the chicken bun. However, YEE-MAN gets red rashes all over his body suddenly since he is allergic to dried shrimps. YEE-MAN rushes to the Chinese doctor for therapy and SHE CHI-MAN uses acupuncture to soothe his itchiness. YEE-MAN helps CHI-MAN to scare away a crazy western suitor JONATHAN. YEE-MAN has a good impression on CHI-MAN. He is delighted to learn that his children like her as well and he starts wondering if he should find a new partner… While chatting with LAM FAT, YU-CHU loses her balance unexpectedly. LAM FAT holds YU-CHU immediately and he kisses her accidentally. After the kiss, the two look into each other’s eyes affectionately.

LAM FAT announces that he will compete with YIP KWAI to pursue YU-CHU. After kissing LAM FAT, YU-CHU realizes that she has fallen in love with him unconsciously. YU-CHU meets up with her old classmate TSUI-SZE and TSUI-SZE discovers from her Tarot cards that YU-CHU’s prince charming has arrived already. After quarreling with his girlfriend, KWOK-MING indulges himself in work. In order to revenge on his rival in love, KWOK-MING asks YU-CHU and the others to join a tug of war contest. LAM FAT discovers that his father AH-NUI is against YIP KWAI all the time and he questions him. AH-NUI reveals that he knows that both of them are fighting for YU-CHU. After the tug of war contest, YU-CHU returns home with a huge diamond ring and everybody is shocked. AH-NUI encourages LAM FAT to carry on and LAM FAT decides to declare his love to YU-CHU. LAM FAT invites YU-CHU to dinner and he brings the golden bracelet to the date.… ...

TSUI-SZE meets up with LAM FAT and they realize that they have known each other since childhood. LAM FAT has promised YEE-MAN not to pursue YU-CHU. He deliberately ignores YU-CHU by chatting with TSUI-SZE all the time. When YU-CHU returns home, she meets an old woman who is looking for a cat and she accidentally captures the most wanted man. While having breakfast in a restaurant, the KO’s family meets Junior Uncle and his family there. Junior Uncle humiliates YEE-MAN and YU-PO cannot bear to fight back. YU-PO accidentally discovers that Junior Uncle’s daughter in law is pretending to be pregnant and the hatred between the two families is deepened. YU-CHU finally realizes that YIP KWAI is in love with her and she is very surprised. YEE-MAN learns that the rent of the pawnshop will be increased shortly and he is worried.… ...

Junior Uncle suddenly faints and he is sent to the hospital. His son CHI-YUNG accuses YEE-MAN of murdering his father. He requests YEE-MAN to pay him 30 million dollars or he will sue him in court. LAM FAT suggests to AH-NUI that they should sell their house to help YEE-MAN and surprisingly, AH-NUI agrees to do so. A woman called MEI-YEE suddenly comes to the pawnshop to redeem her son she has pawned thirty years ago. TING-WAI meets up with his mother MEI-YEE and he decides to go to America with her for she agrees to give him 30 million dollars. YIP KWAI persuades LAM FAT to continue pursuing YU-CHU. He even meets up with TSUI-SZE for he wants her to stop fantasizing on LAM FAT but… YU-CHU discovers that somebody is following her and she is shocked to see the most wanted man in front of her. YEE-MAN and LAM FAT discover that YU-CHU is being attacked. They rush to stop it and LAM FAT is injured while trying to save YU-CHU…
