Eegah

After Roxy Miller (Marilyn Manning) encounters enormous caveman Eegah (Richard Kiel) while driving down a remote California road, her writer father, Robert (William Watters), heads out to the desert to prove his daughter's claims are true. Once there, Robert is knocked unconscious and trapped in Eegah's cave, where he gains some insight into prehistoric life. But, when Roxy and her boyfriend, Tom (Arch Hall Jr.), come to rescue Robert, Eegah grows fond of the girl and refuses to let her leave.

Lady Frankenstein

Baron Frankenstein (Joseph Cotten) is hard at work trying to reanimate human tissue when his daughter, Tania (Rosalba Neri), comes home from university with a medical degree and announces that it has always been her intention to carry on her father's work. The baron is thrilled, but no sooner does he successfully reanimate his creature than it kills him and stalks off. Shocked but undaunted, Tania vows to create an even greater monster to destroy the first in revenge.

The Red House

Meg (Allene Roberts) lives with her adoptive parents, Pete (Edward G. Robinson) and Ellen Morgan (Judith Anderson). When Nath (Lon McCallister), a classmate of Meg's, comes to help on their farm, Pete repeatedly tells Meg and Nath to stay out of the surrounding woods. Out of curiosity, they disobey, and Pete is irate, subsequently hiring Teller (Rory Calhoun) to guard the woods. As Pete's rage devolves into madness, the kids start to discover the dark secrets that are buried in the nearby land.

I Bury The Living

Robert Kraft (Richard Boone) inherits a familial post as the chairman of a small-town cemetery. The centerpiece of the cemetery office is a map of all the plots: White pins signify those claimed, black pins those occupied. When Robert accidentally puts a black pin in the just-purchased plots of a friend (Glenn Vernon) and his new wife, they die in a freak accident. Robert's uncle (Howard Smith) convinces him to make another switch, to see if it's coincidence or something more sinister.

As his partner in crime, Fred Dorella (Vic Tayback), heads to the bank and tries to extort cash from executive Ken Wilson (Donald Woods), Johnny Cabot (Johnny Cash) kidnaps Wilson's wife, Nancy (Cay Forester). Fred tells Ken that, unless he hands over $70,000 in cash, Johnny will kill Nancy. Ken comes up with a ploy to buy some time for the police to assess the situation. Though the scheme is coming unstuck, Fred and Johnny aren't about to go quietly.

The pair share the writing credits on the screenplay with the title of the film derived from Underwoods book Tales From Parts Unknown in which one of the stories originated.
