After SAN's death, LAI KI persuades HIN KUNG to make CHAI as the prince. NG wants to kill CHAI first but he is stopped by YI. However, YI is afraid that his acceptance of being the prince will lead to unavoidable trouble, so he rejects this and leaves the country. He even wants to let YING marry him. But YI refuses it because of the greater importance of his country affairs. This makes WUN KUNG respect him even more. YI and SHUI go north. On the way, there is some misunderstanding between them and KWAI WEI and SHUK WEI. Later, YI meets HA TAN again. Their misunderstanding is resolved by TAN.
