Determined to reclaim their social standing, Jamille prepares for a high-society garden party, with 8-year-old Nicki mimicking her every "sophisticated" move. The plan for elegance falls apart when Nicki accidentally uses Arthur’s experimental "super-grip" industrial glue to repair Jamille’s heirloom lace fan. By the time they reach the party, the fan is permanently stuck to a serving tray, a local stray cat, and eventually, the host's expensive wig.
