The Original Thought is a short film about two students, Vig and Logan, who are trying to make a film for a competition based on the theme Old vs. New. Vig wants the movie to be good, but instead of trusting his own ideas, he keeps asking A.I. what to do. He uses it to choose locations, plan scenes, and make the film feel meaningful. Logan gets frustrated because the movie looks clean, but it does not feel real. As they move through different locations, Vig starts to understand the problem.
