After a devastating breakup with her former lover, Lucille becomes a recluse for a period of time and puts her efforts into her job and her daughter. It almost becomes a nightly routine where she will brush the hair of her young daughter for an hour, humming softly the lullaby, "Hush, Little Baby", while staring blankly at different trinkets and ornaments that adorn her duchess dressing table.
