A story of the challenges of a deaf mother, Mariana raising her hearing child, Nelly that interweaves with the life of a domestic helper, Asih who is a motherly figure to Nelly as well. She works with the family for more than ten years and Mariana’s jealousy of Asih has grown during Nelly’s teenage years as Nelly shows more affection towards Asih.
