Lina Ross is a student director located in Northeast Ohio. In 2024, she wrote and directed three experimental short films. The piece “Cooking with Quilts” premiered at the Hiram College Annual Juried Art Show. She wrote and directed the short film “Casting Call” at Kent State University, which premiered in spring of 2026. It screened at the 2026 KSU Student Film Showcase and the Female Filmmakers Initiative Senior Showcase. She graduated in the class of 2026 as an Integrative Studies major with specializations in creative and critical film studies, gender studies, and English at Kent State University.
