Michael James “Mike” Horbatiuk (born June 9, 2001) is an American filmmaker. He is best known for writing and directing the 2024 thriller Mimeo and creating the series Student Filmmakers. Horbatiuk has written and directed multiple films that have been featured in international film festivals. Horbatiuk started out with a supporting role in the 2022 film MOUNT PLEASANT, and began exploring roles behind the camera. In 2023 Horbatiuk graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. He has since released multiple short films such as Mimeo, Gigachad, Always Allisons, Be Mine, and more. He also created the web series Student Filmmakers in 2024.
