body / negative is the solo project of composer Andy Schiaffino. They create field recording-based ambient works often recorded in lo-fi capacities, described best as “unfinished, perfectly imperfect” pieces. Schiaffino's second full length album, "Everett," mastered by Slowdive's Simon Scott and co-produced in part by Madeline Johnston of Midwife, was released December 8, 2023 on Track Number Records. In addition to their two self-recorded albums and debut EP, Schiaffino has scored two independent short films directed by Jordan Pfeifer: Noxious (2021) and Ingestion (2024). Tracks from Schiaffino's 2020 album "Fragments" have been featured on HBO's Search Party, NBC's Good Girls, and a Vice Essentials webseries.
