Desi is a proud mama to a spirited 6-year-old, and a karaoke enthusiast. She began her career recurring on the Saturday morning TV show, "CityKids" alongside Jim Henson's Muppets. She is the Artistic Director of CityKids Rep, a program empowering teens to express themselves through ARTivism. Desi has appeared on "New Amsterdam," "Harlem," "The Blacklist," and "Broad City" in such roles as mechanic, nurse, court reporter, and witch, respectively.
