Javier Yañez (born 1982, Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish film director who has directed 8 short films and worked on numerous advertising campaigns, music videos, and personal inspirational pieces. He has gained international recognition for his manga adaptations, including "Mighty Boy," the first adaptation of a manga by Japanese author Naoki Urasawa in Spain, "Utopias" by Shun Umezawa (27 awards), and "Bookworm" by Amagappa Shoujogun (37 awards), which was published in the compilation volume "Blindside" presented by Junji Ito. Other notable works include "Amor Sacro," which premiered at Sitges in 2011, and "A través del ocaso" (2009). Yañez is the founder and CEO of Wewotion, a production company specialized in advertising for videogames such as Supercell, major brands such as Coca Cola, Disney+, and Planeta, and institutions including the Embassy of Japan.
