Kevin Harris is a South African independent documentary filmmaker born in Pietermaritzburg. In October 1979, he was fired by the Apartheid controlled SABC TV for ensuring the uncensored broadcast of his documentary Bara. In 1982, he made his first independent documentary, This We Can Do For Justice & For Peace, know as Land of Courage, Land of Fear in the United States.
