Bruce Posner has worked as a curator and programmer of film, a lecturer on the history and theory of motion pictures, an archivist focused on film preservation and restoration, and an artist of film and photography. In 1999, working with 60 of the world's leading film archives, Posner began work on Unseen Cinema: Early American Avant-Garde Film 1893-1941, a film restoration and preservation project sponsored by Anthology Film Archives and Deutsches Film Museum.
