Tora Mårtens was born in Stockholm. She has a background as a still photographer and her work has been widely published in various magazines and newspapers and displayed in several museums and galleries. Tora graduated from Dramatiska institutet in 2007. She directed and produced the documentary Tommy in Cuba in 2007.
