Synopsis
From October 3, 1989 to October 3, 1990, filmmaker Roland Blum was commissioned by ZDF to capture how people in the GDR fared during the period of change, only to meet them again ten years later. The changes that unification with West Germany brought with it often manifested themselves in the way the environment was treated, because it was seen as the GDR's "dowry".
