Synopsis
At the Ferrara court, the poet Torquato Tasso meets two court ladies: Eleanora d’Este, the sister of Duke Alfonso II, with whom he soon falls in love, and Eleanora, Countess of Scandiano, one of the court’s ladies-in-waiting.
