Synopsis
Mona Island is located a few kilometers away from the mainland, on a small piece of land of a few thousand souls. The island has a strong identity and the spirit of the annual carnival is very importan as it is a large popular celebration over several days. This year, a show of acrobatic stunts is the apotheosis, and especially Amédée and Niki’s show, two 26-year old twins, who have created a particularly perilous figure. In the middle of the jump, Amédée realizes that Niki is not there to catch her, and falls dangerously in front of the audience. That same day, 33 inhabitants of the island, including Niki, disappeared at sea without leaving any trace. It’s a terrible day for the island. The inhabitants are losing ground.
