Synopsis
Manolo, a miner by family tradition, pensioner at 50, is addicted to gambling. Long since divorced, he has a smouldering love affair with his neighbor Carmen, wife of policeman, Paco. The only person Manolo really loves, although he rarely sees him, is his teenage son Álvaro, who lives with his mother, Manolo´s ex wife, Cova. Cova and Manolo maintain an amicable relationship for the sake of their son.
