Rum gets a bad reputation, but real rum has been shaping the Caribbean since the 1600s. Rum's history is the story of Haitian rebels and Jewish refugees, which is also my story. I traveled to St. Lucia, Martinique, Barbados, Dominica, and Haiti to see where rum was born and clear its good name.
