Synopsis
One night in Ginza, Kogoro Akechi meets a woman who calls herself Shizuko Yanagi. Shizuko claims that her mother, Michiko, is trying to kill her. As if to prove her point, Michiko has challenged Shizuko to a “duel” using potassium cyanide. Shizuko narrowly wins the duel, and Michiko falls to her death. However, a series of bizarre incidents begins to unfold around Shizuko, all centered on the vast fortune Michiko left behind.
