Synopsis
Kochanowski's tragedy refers to the classic plot of ancient literature. The events presented in it precede the expedition of the Greeks against Troy, described in Homer's "Iliad". Greek envoys arrive in Troy, demanding the release of Helen, the wife of Menelaus, abducted by Prince Paris, also called Alexander.
